What is Gannon’s List?

Thanks for visiting our site and learning more about this project.  I created Gannon’s List to connect our region’s best candidates with our top employers.  What started as a resource for family and friends who were frustrated by the traditional options for job hunting has grown more than I could have imagined.

I sent the first email in July of 2017 and everyday since I’m overwhelmed when i hear stories from folks who have benefitted from the List.  GannonsList.com represents the next step to build a more comprehensive resource for folks looking for work or looking to hire here in New York’s Capital Region.

The list comes around 2:30 PM every Wednesday but now we’re open 24/7/365 here at GannonsList.com Everything we’ve done with respect to this project has been heavily influenced by the feedback of users like you and, to that extent, I invite you share your thoughts with me as we continually look to build this resource.  You can do so by shooting me a note to pg@gannonslist.com

Who are we?

Peter Gannon created Gannon’s List in 2017 after enduring years of frustrating job searches and realizing there had to be a better way.  He created the List with one mission — a simple way to connect New York’s Capital Region’s best candidates with top employers.

In addition to running the List, he is the CEO of United Way of the Greater Capital Region.  Before joining United Way he was the President & CEO of the Watervliet Arsenal Business & Technology Partnership where he brought hundreds of private-sector jobs to the historic facility.  During his time at the Partnership he created the McNulty Center for Veteran Entrepreneurial Activity or more simply known now as the McNulty Center which helps Veterans, active duty service members and their families start and grow their businesses.
